Yamaha saxophones have gone a lot better in recent years. Many people really love the tone and feel of the Yamaha YTS-62 professional tenor saxophone. The Yamaha YAS-52 is a great intermediate alto saxophone.

Questions and Answers
- Question:
- Best place to buy a Yamaha saxophone alto pro in Canada? Same price than in USA?
Would like to know where to buy an alto Yamaha saxophone YAS-62 or YAS-82Z? Should be about the same price as in USA because in USA there is import duties and there's none in Canada. Where? - Answer:
- Buy online there are many stores based in Canada or that will ship to Canada. Yamaha saxophones are the best choice, i love them. I would recommend the yas 82z or 875ex, they are the same price. if you want a really good looking and playing one go for the 82z black phoenix it should be the same price as USA anywhere, just add shiping
- Question:
- how much is your average used yamaha alto saxophone?
I got an alto saxophone about two years ago. I used it maybe two times maximum. I am looking to sell my saxophone, but I don't know how much I should sell it for. I bought the saxophone for $1,675. The saxophone is a Yamaha Alto Saxophone also. It always came for a case. Is the case usually sold separatly? I know for guitars that the case is sold separatly but I am not sure if it is the same for saxophones. Thank you! - Answer:
- I think you have a YAS-23, since $1675 is the list price for one of those. Unfortunately, since they are so common, you'd probably only get about $500-$700 back for it if you sold privately or on Ebay, and less if you sold it to a retailer. Usually, you sell it with the case.
- Question:
- How can I sell my used Yamaha Saxophone?
I have a virtually brand new Yamah Allegro YAS-575AL Alto Saxophone - and have NO idea how to go about selling it. Help would be greatly appreciated!! - Answer:
- I would encourage you to call the school music teachers in your town/county. They have students who may currently be using a school instrument that might want to "upgrade" to a personal instrument. You can also post a notice at music stores in your town. Take a picture or two from different angles including one of the instrument in the case and create a letter-sized poster with tear-off strips saying alto sax and your phone number. Also put your email/phone in the body of the poster so someone can call even if all the strips are gone. (You can take notices to schools and colleges as well.) While you're at the music stores, look at the community bulletin board for business cards of private sax teachers. They will have students who may need a horn. Who knows, maybe a teacher is looking for a second horn. In any case, they can help you network as well. You can also try ebay. Be sure to factor the right amount for shipping so you don't come up short. You can use the same pics for ebay that you took for the poster.
- Question:
- Is this a good price for Yamaha silver alto saxophone?
I want to buy a yamaha silver alto saxophone but it costs about 2,474-3,474. Do you think this is good price for it ? I don't think its a very cheap price. Do you know where I can get it cheaper? If so where? - Answer:
- Well, I got mine at a local shop, and it cost $1,250. I mean, maybe if it was a professional one, it might cost a little more, but that's the cost of a normal tenor saxophone, or maybe even baritone saxophone! So no deal.
